The ASBS has as its goal the improvement of public health and wellbeing by lessening the burden of the disease of obesity and related diseases throughout the world.
Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES)
SAGES is a community of surgeons that can bring minimal-access surgery, endoscopy, and emerging techniques to patients in every country. SAGES represent more than 6,000 surgeons and allied health professionals worldwide.
The American College of Surgeons (ACS)
The ACS is dedicated to improving the care of the surgical patient and to safeguarding standards of care in an optimal and ethical practice environment.
Obesity Action Coalition (OAC)
The Obesity Action Coalition is a non-profit organization dedicated to giving a voice to those affected by obesity. The OAC was formed to build a nationwide coalition of patients to become active advocates and spread the important message of the need for obesity education.
Walk from Obesity
Walk from Obesity raises funds to support the independent missions of the ASMBS and the OAC and fund programs focused on prevention, research, education and advocacy for all those affected by obesity.
