Weight Loss Services
When it comes to weight loss, one size does not fit all. We understand that a weight loss strategy needs to address your specific needs and goals. Surgery may be part of that strategy. We may also recommend weight loss medications, nutrition counseling, behavior modification and group support.
We equip you with the tools you need to reach your goals, and then we support you for long-term success.
If you are considering weight loss surgery, it's important to do your homework. Choosing a procedure depends on your goals, medical history, lifestyle, preferences, insurance coverage and your surgeon’s recommendation. We’ll work closely with you to develop a comprehensive, individualized plan to achieve a healthy new way of living.
Below is more information about our currently offered weight loss surgeries and our non-surgical weight loss solutions.
Weight Loss Surgeries
Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass
Recommended for patients with a weight loss goal of 25 percent of their initial weight or more, during a gastric bypass, the surgeon makes the stomach smaller (using only about 5 percent of the existing stomach) and reroutes the small intestine.
Sleeve Gastrectomy
Recommended for patients with a weight loss goal of 25 percent of their initial weight or more, during gastric sleeve surgery, the surgeon removes about 85 percent of the stomach, leaving a smaller sleeve-shaped stomach about the size of a banana.
Duodenal Switch
This procedure is generally reserved as an option for patients with a BMI of 50 or over. A combination of gastric sleeve and intestinal rerouting to the bottom of the sleeve, the duodenal switch removes about 85 percent of the stomach and bypasses a larger section of the small intestine.
